A conference organised jointly by St. Pölten UAS and UAS Technikum Wien was held in Vienna from 26-30 May 2009 and addressed some key issues concerning university development in Austria and Mongolia.
Delegates from both countriesThe opening of the conference took place in the Reception Hall of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research on 26 May. Continued academic co-operationThe conference, which was part of a project supported by Eurasia Pacific Uninet, provided a suitable platform for both sides to exchange experiences and identify shared concerns. The formal groundwork for further academic collaboration was laid on the last day of the conference when bilateral co-operation agreements were signed between the Mongolian universities and the Austrian universities of applied sciences.
